Scavenger Hunt Sunday Dec 18, 2011

This weeks prompts were great fun.  The week was hard to get the pictures I wanted.  I spent a couple days recovering from surgery which slowed me down a little.

What is it?

What is it?  Is a picture of Jack Frosts patterns on the concrete at work and the blue is ice melt crystals.  I have had people say it looks like mountains and or part of the moon. I love nature’s patterns.

Children/Fur Babies Sleeping

Granddaughter just could not hold out any more.  I love the picture taken by my daughter.  Not many pictures of me holding the little ones.

Taken in our front window.

Joy for the season.  Left is the point and shoot camera I have been using for the last 4 years.  Joy is the new one for Christmas this year.  A lot of new learning.  It is a Sony Alpha NEX-5N with 18-55 mm and 55-210 mm plus wide angle and 2X lenses.

Love the display through the window at a local store.  Season cheer.

The half showing tells it all.  No need to see the rest of the face to see the smile.  Another granddaughter.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday #8

Our daughters and their families visited last weekend.  Great family time together.

Less is More

Less color and  less in the picture and the less said is more and her expression said it all.

Holiday Lights

The tree is all lit and ready for the season.   Most of our ornaments are home made as shown below.

Some of the ornaments on the tree shown above.  My wife made these over ten years ago.  What a a heritage.

Cup of Cheer

Man does not live by chocolate alone but women can.  This will cheer up anyone during the season.

A very simpley cut nativity we have had for a few years.  My son in law gave this to us.  We just love it’s simplicity.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday #7

This weeks prompts were very fun.  I had a great time watching for these pictures. Working at the airport means I get to take pictures of airplanes and you get to see the results.

The setting sun helped make a great portrait of a friends aircraft just before he left for home.

My Father’s saddle has found a place in our house.  I remember the Christmas he got this saddle.  Lots of memories surrounded with this year’s memories yet to be unwrapped.

We measure time.  This is a picture of the works of a clock which is measuring TIME.

Full of light

This shot is of the mountains just north of where I work on an early morning.  The three mountains were so full of light I could not resist this picture.  A few seconds later it was all gone.

In over 40 years of flying this was only the third time I have seen the propeller creating vapor trails showing the motion of the propeller.  I was very lucky to get it to show in the picture.
